tonight at 11 p.m. marks the beginning of the leonids meteor shower, peaking in the midnight hours until sunrise. make sure you check this out, it is supposed to be one of the greatest meteor showers of our lifetime! on with the music...which i find to be apt for the evening's stargazing (get your headphones ready):
this is one of the most gorgeous ambient records i've ever heard. a side project of jón Þór “jónsi” birgisson (from sigur rós) and his boyfriend, alex somers (of parachutes). majestic magicians of minimalism, these are sonic pieces of art that should be listened to carefully as if viewing a painting and the tracks will reveal their subtle, stunning beauty. this is the sound of love.
